Introduction:
On the evening of December 11, 2001, poets and writers gathered to read the following texts in commemoration of and response to 9/11 and its aftermath. The reading took place on the boardwalk at Venice Beach, Los Angeles, in front of Mark di Suvero's sculpture Declaration.
