London School Bundle
“The School of London” refers to a group of London-based artists who were painting figurative forms in the 1970s, a pursuit that was in contradiction to the popular abstract and conceptual art movement of the time. In 1979, L.A. Louver’s founding Director Peter Goulds staged an exhibition titled “This Knot of Life” featuring the chief artists associated with the School of London. This bundle includes the catalogue from that exhibit, as well as associated artist’s catalogues, and L.A. Louver’s “The British Picture ”– an encore and expansion of the movement reflected in 1988.
